Trying to use the Qube for just calculating final gather and global illumination, but it doesnt seem to create a new file per frame rather it keeps adding ontop of the same file.

How does qube interact with 3ds max when rendering?

Using: 3ds max 2011 and Qube 5.4

Hi Poker,

We only started supporting 3ds Max 2011 in Qube 5.5. At 5.4, you're quite a few minor versions behind, so we strongly recommend that you upgrade. The latest version as of now is 6.2.0.

That said, is computing just the final gather something that can be done with the command-line 3dsmaxcmd.exe program?  If so, you may want to try the "3dsmax batchRender" submissions from the Qube GUI instead.

If you can email us, at support<at>pipelinefx.com, a very simple scenefile that can reproduce the issue, and the steps on how to reproduce it, we can look into it in more details.

Thanks!
